With a brewing legacy of over 200 years, this client is one of the largest beverage companies in the world, selling in approximately 100 countries. As part of their commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, the organization embarked on a SAFe/Agile transformation to scale agile practices across the enterprise.

Challenge

After launching their SAFe/Agile journey, the client needed an experienced transformation partner to guide them through organizing around value, enhancing work flow, and instilling a lean-agile mindset throughout the enterprise. The organization sought support to accelerate adoption, improve alignment, and build internal capabilities.

Solution

Trissential deployed a team of SAFe Program Consultants (SPCs) to support the transformation through a phased approach:

• Phase 1 focused on assessment, targeted coaching for ART leadership, and rapid implementation of SAFe best practices to improve flow and identify high-value next steps
• Phase 2 emphasized value stream mapping, optimization of ART structures, development of strategic themes, OKRs, vision, and roadmaps, and standing up the Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) and Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)
• Ongoing coaching supported team- and ART-level improvements across all SAFe roles and the seven core competencies, using assessments, metrics, and feedback to guide growth
• Support for DevSecOps and scaling of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) helped strengthen consistency and delivery across teams

Results

The client significantly strengthened their SAFe/Agile foundation and empowered internal teams to lead the next stages of their transformation. By realigning around value and re-evaluating value streams, they are now positioned for both operational efficiency and future ART expansion. The LACE is well-positioned to support ongoing maturity, and LPM capabilities are expanding to enable enterprise-wide agility at scale.
