As we near the close of 2021, Trissential’s busy planning for the coming year. Obviously, the pandemic has tremendously impacted our industry, the overall business climate, and our personal lives. As we look forward to 2022, it’s important to reflect on some of the changes we’ve experienced. Particularly, those that have changed our professional landscape forever.
- We’re excited to see so many of our clients and colleagues making a successful transition from disruption to transformation. Recent research reports that responses to the pandemic sped up the adoption of digital technologies by several years. We’ve moved at a lightning-fast pace. Now, it’s time to ensure that we take full advantage of our new capabilities.
- During this past August, 4.3 million people quit their jobs. The trend that’s being called “the Big Quit” and the “Great Resignation” seems to continue. While some perceive labor shortages as a boon to our industry, they impact technology consulting firms equally to our clients. Trissential is continually improving our employee programs to better engage and retain our talented consultants. And now, this will be an even higher priority this coming year.
- Higher demand and lower supply is affecting not only the workforce, but business investment as well. Especially with experts predicting much higher capital spending in 2022. Those investments will be in much different areas, however, from accelerated adoption of robotic processing automation to more creative supply chain options.
All of these trends and many more mean that once considered “softer” skills are now mission-critical strengths for our workforce. These skills include creativity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability in our 2022 organizations. We’re looking forward to a new year! Filled with hard work, innovation, and more success for our clients as we all move into this new future together.
Best,
Keith Korsi, Founder and CEO
