Trissential helped contribute to a record-breaking $1,110,998 raised for patient assistance by sponsoring the Be the Match Gala 2021 on Friday, October 21st. As partners with Be the Match, we helped 6,649 patients receive a second chance at life this past fiscal year. To clarify, that’s 6,649 unique, beautiful individuals given more days with their loved ones through a transplant or cell therapy.
Over the past 30 years Be The Match®, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP), has managed the most diverse marrow registry in the world. Additionally, Be the Match serves as the hub of a global transplant network that connects 5467+ leading centers worldwide. Every year, thousands of people are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma. Thanks to Be the Match, a cure exists and they make it happen. In 2021, the organization recruited more than 250,00 potential marrow donors, 35.8% of them with diverse ancestry.
